Abanka was established in 1955 as a branch of the Yugoslav Bank for Foreign Trade, later Jugobanka. The Jugobanka Ljubljana branch was the first bank in Slovenia for international relations. In December 1989 we were transformed into Abanka, d.d., and in December 2002 we merged with Banka Vipa, d.d. and thereby acquired the new name of Abanka Vipa, d.d.
