Abanka recipient of Euromoney award as the "Best Bank in Slovenia"

At a ceremony held in London on 8 July 2010, Abanka Vipa d.d., the third largest bank in Slovenia, received the prestigious Euromoney magazine award as the Best Bank in Slovenia.

According to Euromoney magazine experts, who present "Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2010" to financial institutions, Abanka was assessed as the most successful and cost effective bank in Slovenia for the preceding period. Special emphasis in the selection process was placed on Abanka's active participation on the capital market (i.e. the raising of a syndicated loan and the issuing of a bond abroad). This facilitated the Bank's further growth in turnover, which stood at EUR 4.5 billion at the end of last year.

Euromoney is one of the leading publications in the field of global banking and capital markets. Since 1992, it selects banks and other institutions that stand out in terms of growth, competitiveness and profitability in their respective region.

The editors and journalists of Euromoney closely examine financial corporations and their management teams in accordance with several criteria, such as client relations, profit generated for shareholders and the expansion of opportunities in the financial sector. Every year, they select those corporations that stand out in terms of excellence.
